2006 Ohio State Fair
Serves 4 to 6
1 medium onion, diced or sliced
1 garlic clove, minced
2 pounds country style pork ribs
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 cup Lonz Pink Catawba wine
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
1 cup chili sauce
cup brown sugar
¾ teaspoon ground ginger
Place onion and garlic in large pan. Rub salt and pepper over ribs and place ribs over onion and garlic. Pour ½ cup wine over chops. Cover and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
Combine drained pineapple, chili sauce, ginger, and ground mustard with ½ cup wine and pour over ribs. Bake uncovered for 1 to 1½ hours or until meat is very tender.
