Weymouth Winery was awarded multiple awards in the 2019 International Eastern Wine Competition. This competition started in 1975, is one of the oldest and longest-running wine competitions in the nation. Gold Medals: “Falling Apple” and “Pear Wine with Honey Added”. Silver Medals: “Apple Ice Wine” and “Autumn Wish”. Their “Falling Apple” is made from a mix of fresh apples such as Fuji, Golden Delicious, Braeburn and Mutsu. The “Pear Wine with Honey Added” is a pear cyser is made from Asian Pears and honey from their orchard. The “Apple Ice Wine” is made from apples picked frozen from the trees in the middle of winter. The grape wine “Autumn Wish” is semi-sweet and made from Aromella grape vines that are hand-pruned and hand picked. All of these wines are hand-made, small-lot vintages. Weymouth Winery is one of the few wineries in Ohio licensed by the state as a “Farm Winery”.
