Red Wine Steak Burger Ingredients:
2 lb. ground chuck
1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 cup Raven’s Glenn Raven Rouge or other sweet Ohio red wine
1/4 cup creamy Italian dressing
2 large eggs
3 tbsp cooking oil for skillet
2 cups prepared garlic mashed potatoes
2 cups steamed broccoli

Gravy Ingredients:

3 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup Raven’s Glenn Raven Rouge or other sweet Ohio red wine
1 cup beef broth

1. In a large mixing bowl, place the beef, bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and crushed pepper. Mix by hand thoroughly folding the mixture until blended. Add wine, dressing, and eggs. Mix until all is evenly seasoned. Form into four large patties.

2. In a large skillet on medium high stove top heat, place the cooking oil and allow the oil to heat before placing in the patties to cook. Cook each side 5 minutes turning at the 5 minute mark until 20 minutes have passed. Remove patties from skillet and set aside.

3. Using the pan renderings, add the flour. Using a fork, mix the renderings and flour until smooth. Add the salt, wine, and beef broth. Stir with the fork until slurry thickens about 1 minute. Pour over the patties and prepared mashed potatoes and serve with broccoli.
